Upcoming Changes to the Philips SpeechLive Integration in Philips SpeechExec
Philips is phasing out the built-in SpeechLive integration inside SpeechExec software. The integrated SpeechLive features will be removed on January 7, 2027. Here's what it means for you and what to do next.
As part of the planned evolution of its product portfolio, Philips Dictation has announced that the SpeechLive integration in Philips SpeechExec will be phased out. The integrated SpeechLive features will be removed from all SpeechExec versions on January 7, 2027.
What's changing
The dedicated SpeechLive toolbar group inside Philips SpeechExec — including the SpeechLive settings, upload, and open-in-browser buttons — will be removed from the software. The image below highlights the toolbar buttons affected.
Timeline
- September 2026 — In-app notifications begin appearing inside SpeechExec, informing users of the removal date and linking to the SpeechLive Web App.
- Notifications repeat at 90, 60, and 30 days before the service is removed.
- January 7, 2027 — The integrated SpeechLive features are removed from all SpeechExec versions.
What this means for SpeechExec users
If you use Philips SpeechExec (Pro Dictate, Pro Transcribe, or Basic) to send dictations into SpeechLive, the built-in toolbar connection will no longer work after January 7, 2027. You will still be able to access all your dictations through the SpeechLive Web App — the change only affects the in-SpeechExec toolbar shortcut, not your SpeechLive account or your stored dictations.
